Cruise Guidelines

We are asking for your cooperation as we do not want to loose the ability to use this site as our site, as it is the only site capable of handling the large crowds on a regular basis. Please note that most of the concerns are not new or unique and have been brought to our attention by you the cruisers, or the Sandwich Police Department.  Please note that the entire property is covered with closed circuit cameras and recording system.

We ask that you dispose of any litter in the barrels provided.  Everyone who comes is careful and concerned for the safety of their cars.  However, we ask that you do not take up more then one space for each vehicle. We can not accommodate the practice of saving space for someone who is coming later.  Sound systems/vehicle radios other than ours are asked to be turned off.

Most of you know that cruises historically and nationally are based on vehicles that are at least 25 years old (meet antique status) and fall into the following categories: street-rods, hot-rods, street-machines, nostalgia/antique autos, muscle cars, and race and performance cars and trucks.  The Sham-Rods want to welcome all auto enthusiasts.  However, a chrome wheel on a dilapidated truck regardless of age does not a Hot-Rod make.  Do not feel upset if turned away, we must draw the line somewhere.

Nightly events:

  • Roughly between 7:00 and 8:00 PM we will begin drawing tickets for the General prizes.
  • General prize winners will keep their ticket and be eligible for the grand prize.
  • All times are subject to change, depending on the weather or some other unforeseen challenge.
  • On feature nights we will give Dash plaques to those vehicles that meet antique status ONLY — at least 25 years old and fall into the following categories street-rods, hot-rods, street-machines, nostalgia/antique autos, muscle cars, and performance trucks.  Should any plaques be left over they will be handed out on a first come basis.
